La Beauté in Fabula, Avignon

La Beauté in Fabula, Avignon

The installation was unique at the time it generated 15,000 portraits of the visitors of “Avignon, capitale européenne de la culture,” people like Jean Paul Gaultier, Jeremy Scott among other numerous attendees.

The portraits of the visitors is the only documentation testifying to the event of 2000.

In this work, beauty is generated by a specific light, without makeup artist or hairdresser.

The portraits were taken by one of the first digital cameras and stored on 80 Kodak CD-R.

A real fossil of digital archaeology.
